TTI Opens New 47,000 Square-foot Distribution Facility in Sacramento’s ‘Green Tech’ Zone
Sacramento, CA (September 24, 2007) — Thompson Technology Industries, Inc. (TTI), a leading developer and manufacturer of solar PV system products and solutions, announced today the opening of its new 47,000 square-foot distribution facility in Sacramento, CA. Situated in Sacramento’s new ‘green tech’ zone in south Sacramento, the new facility will house TTI’s operations for solar projects ranging from small residential to multi-megawatt solar farms.
Sacramento City Council members unanimously approved a resolution last month to market the existing enterprise zone in the Florin Perkins area, formerly the Army Depot area, as their new ‘green tech’ zone and will be offering financial incentives to qualifying businesses in the area.
“We are excited to have this new facility to accommodate TTI’s growing customer base and operations. By having a central location in Sacramento, we are able to reduce lead times and deliver our best-of-breed, high-quality products in an efficient manner to our customers. We are also proud to support Sacramento’s efforts to become a center for clean energy and green tech companies by choosing this location,” said Dan Thompson, President and CEO of TTI.
The facility, located at 8451 Rovana Circle, will support in-house manufacturing and a full logistics team that will manage quality control, inventory control, and coordinate domestic and international shipments for TTI’s wide range of proprietary products such as:
- The Flat Jack® Roof Mount
- The Flush Mount Railing System
- The Adjustable-Tilt Ground Mounting System
- The SunSeeker® Single-Axis Tracker
- The SunSpot® and StringWatch™ Monitoring Systems
- The new Floatovoltaics™ Floating Mounting System, coming in ‘08
In addition to housing TTI’s primary operations, the new location will be the future home of a state-of-the-art, PV mounting systems and monitoring systems training center for TTI customers and distributors.
