The SunSpot®
The SunSpot® Monitoring System is an Internet-based solar PV installation monitoring system. It includes the following components:
- SunPac™ data acquisition system
- eSunSpot™ real-time reporting software
- StringWatch™ string-level monitoring system (optional)
- SunSpot® interactive kiosk (optional)
SunPac™
The SunPac™ data acquisition system determines the amount of power being generated by the PV system, the amount of power being consumed by the building, and how much power is being bought from/sold to the utility.
- Gathers aggregate PV production and utility consumption data
- Maintains historical data logs to track performance over time
- Programmable meters adapt to any solar PV installation
- Optional weather sensors correlate environmental factors to system performance
- Identifies malfunctions such as inverter failures and utility interruptions
- Internet-based with customizable eSunSpot™™ Web reporting for maximum flexibility
- Patent pending
eSunSpot™
This Internet-based application reports how much power is being produced, consumed, and bought/sold in real-time and also maintains historical data.
- Monitors aggregate PV system performance in real-time
- Graphical and tabular displays provide detailed performance information
- Access live and historical data via the Internet
- Retrieve historical data by day, month, year, or date range
- Download data in Microsoft® Excel® format
- Requires the TTI SunPac™ data acquisition system
- Patent pending
SunSpot® Kiosk
Monitor your PV system in real-time from your own premises using the optional SunSpot® Kiosk.
StringWatch™
The optional StringWatch™ monitors solar PV system performance at the individual module, string, combiner box, and recombiner box levels, and automatically notifies the system administrator of any problems.
- Keeps your solar system functioning at peak efficiency
- Measures amperage, voltage, and power to 1% accuracy for optimal performance data
- Per-string monitoring reduces troubleshooting and repair times by immediately pinpointing specific problem areas caused by blown fuses, broken modules, theft, etc.
- Automatic notifications help speed repairs
- Tracks up to ten strings per combiner box
- Use with new or existing solar PV installations
- Compiled historical data reveals seasonal trends and verifies repair effectiveness
- Access real-time data via the Internet 24/7
